Aid apparatus for raising a disabled person from a sitting position to a standing position, which apparatus includes a wheeled base (1) in the form of a U-formed frame having a post, which supports a lifting means. The lifting means includes a lifting arm arrangement (5,7) having a free end, which can be raised and lowered in relation to the base (1) and supports the lifting sling. The aid apparatus may turn over if the person leans at one side in standing position and a fork-shaped lateral support (10) is therefore arranged, the open end of which opens in the direction from the post (3) and surround the upper part of the body when the person is in standing position. The breadth of the fork-shaped lateral support (10) corresponds to the person's breadth and is not larger than the breadth of the U-formed base (11). The fork-shaped lateral support being arranged not swingable in relation to an axis, which is perpendicular to the plane of the U-formed base (11).

Ledit appareil comporte une base (1) à roues sous forme de châssis en forme de U doté d'un poteau qui supporte un dispositif de levage. Ledit dispositif de levage possède un ensemble bras de levage (5, 7) à extrémité libre, qui peut être levé et abaissé par rapport à la base (1) et qui supporte l'élingue de levage. Ledit appareil d'assistance peut basculer si la personne s'appuie d'un côté lorsqu'elle est debout. Pour y remédier, un support latéral (10) en forme de fourche, dont l'extrémité ouverte s'ouvre en direction du poteau (3), entoure donc la partie supérieure du corps lorsque la personne est debout. La largeur du support latéral (10) en forme de fourche correspond à la largeur de la personne et n'est pas plus large que la largeur de la base (1) en forme de U. Le support latéral en forme de fourche est installé non oscillant par rapport à l'axe qui est perpendiculaire au plan de la base (1) en forme de U.
