A laterally adjustable conveyor (101) utilizes a belt support assembly consisting of a plurality of pivoting support plates (113) connected by pivots for sliding support of a flexible belt (105). A plurality of support stands (107) provide support for the pivot plates from the floor (109) or other supporting surface. A belt drive (120) provides motive power for the flexible belt. A lateral adjustment assembly (122) provides a means to position the back end laterally with respect to the front end of the conveyor by rotating pivot plates (113) about pivots (111).
