A latex paint composition comprises (a) a polymer having interpolymerized units that comprise units derived from styrene, methyl styrene, vinyl, or combinations thereof and units derived from one or more acrylates, methacrylates, acrylonitrile, or combinations thereof, (b) hiding pigment, (c) non-cellulosic thickener, and (d) at least about 0.05 weight per volume percent fluorochemical acrylic polymer additive comprising (1) at least one perfluoroalkyl moiety selected from the group consisting of heptafluoropropanesulfonamido, nonafluorobutanesulfonamido, undecafluoropentanesulfonamido, and tridecafluorohexanesulfonamido moieties and (2) at least one polyoxyalkylene block comprising at least one alkyleneoxy moiety. Also, methods for providing paint coatings with such compositions.

L'invention concerne une composition de peinture au latex renfermant (a) un polymère comportant des unités inter-polymérisées constituées d'unités dérivées du styrène, du vinyltoluène, du vinyle, ou de mélanges de ces derniers et d'unités dérivées d'un ou de plusieurs acrylates, méthacrylates, acrylonitriles, ou de mélanges de ces derniers, (b) un pigment opacifiant, (c) un agent épaississant non cellulosique, et (d) au moins 0,05 % en masse par volume d'un additif de polymère acrylique fluoré comportant (1) au moins un fragment perfluoroalkyle sélectionné dans le groupe comprenant des fragments heptafloropropanesulfonamido, nonafluorobutanesulfonamido, undécafluoropentanesulfonamido et tridécafluorohexanesulfonamido et (2) au moins une séquence polyoxyalkylène comprenant au moins un fragment alkylèneoxy.
