LAUNDRY COMPOSITIONS Abstract A laundry detergent or detergent additive composition comprising from about 0.1% to about 25% by weight of a soil-release polymer comprising ethyleneoxy terephthalate (EO-T) units and polyethyleneoxy terephthalate (PEO-T) units at a molar ratio (EO-T/PEO-T) of from about 0.5 to about 1.5, the PEC-T units containing polyethylene oxide (PEO) linking units having a molecular weight of from about 300 to about 3000, the molecular weight of the polymer being in the range from about 900 to about 9,000, and up to about 203 of a water-soluble quaternary ammonium surfactant. The composition provides excellent soil-release performance without detriment to clay-soil detergency and anti-deposition performance.
