LAUNDRY TREATMENT ARTICLE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An article for delivering a gleaning composition to a wash water, preferably for laundering clothes, is formed from a flexible substrate folded into a C-shaped arrangement. Within the folded substrate is positioned a detergent composition that includes a surfactant and builder in the form of a semi-solid having adhesive strength sufficient to bind the two surrounding substrate areas together. No other bonding is present between the substrate flaps. Detergent composition is easily released to a wash water when the article is placed therein. In a development the substrate is folded into an S-shaped construction. Within one region of the folded substrate is positioned a detergent composition. In a second region of the folded substrate separate from that occupied by the detergent composition, there is a further composition, also adhesive in nature. It may contin a component which may be a bleach, bleach precursor, enzyme and/or fabric softener.
