A fibre rebuild polymer comprising a cellulose or other .beta.-1, 4 linked polysaccharide backbone with acetate groups pendant thereto, the average degree of substitution of acetate groups on the saccharide groups of the backbone being 0.55-0.70, is used to inhibit wrinkling and improve ironability of cloth during a laundry process.

L'invention concerne un polymère de reconstruction des fibres comprenant une cellulose ou d'autres squelettes de polysaccharide liés à .beta.-1,4 auxquels sont liés des groupes d'acétate. Le degré moyen de substitution de groupes acétate présents dut les groupes saccharide du squelette est de 0,55-0,70. Ce polymère permet d'inhiber les rides et améliore l'aptitude au repassage du tissu pendant un traitement du linge.
