ABSTRACT The present invention refers to a method of lautering mash in a lauter tub for brewing. In order to improve known methods of this type, the present invention provides the feature that the lauter process is, at least partially, carried out under excess pressure generated by feeding inert gas into the lauter tub. In addition, the present invention suggests an ap- paratus by means of which the method according to the invention can be carried out.
