The invention is directed to a self-powered lavage instrument used with an external fluid source for debridement of soft tissue. A housing includes at least two housing parts which are selectively attachable to and detachable from each other. A fluid nozzle is defined by or connected with the housing. A pump assembly is removably installed within the housing, and includes a case carrying an electric motor, a fluid pump and a plurality of power cells. The fluid pump is connected with the fluid nozzle and connectable with the external fluid source. The pump assembly further includes a plurality of clips, with each clip frictionally engaging and thereby electrically interconnecting two of the power cells.

L'invention a trait à un instrument de lavage automoteur utilisé avec une source extérieure de liquide pour le débridement de tissus mous. Le boîtier comprend au moins deux parties pouvant être soit attachées l'une à l'autre, soit détachées l'une de l'autre. Un bec pour le liquide est défini par le boîtier ou y est rattaché. Une pompe démontable est installée dans le boîtier et comporte un étui pour un moteur électrique, une pompe et plusieurs cellules. La pompe est rattachée au bec et peut être rattachée à la source extérieure de liquide. La pompe comporte aussi plusieurs pinces, chaque pince s'engageant par frottement dans deux des cellules, qui sont ainsi interconnectées.
