A toilet cleaning block which releases a halogen disinfecting agent in a controlled, substantially constant rate for 2 to about 4 months of constant contact with water and is then completely dissolved in the water comprises an admixture of an agent which releases a halogen disinfecting agent when in contact with water, about 4 to 10% aluminum hydroxide based on the total weight of the block and up to about 1% by weight of a mold release lubricant, said admixture being in the form of a coherent solid resistant to internal water penetration having a density of 1.10 to 1.60 g/cc, a ratio of effective surface area to weight of about 1:1.05 to 1:1.25 and a crush fracturing strength of about 9-109 kg.

Cette invention concerne un aggloméré nettoie-cuvette qui libère un désinfectant halogéné à un débit mesuré sensiblement constant sur une durée d'immersion constante dans l'eau de deux à quatre mois et qui se dissout complètement au terme de cette période. Il est composé d'un mélange de désinfectant halogéné qui se libère au contact de l'eau, d'environ 4 à 10 % en poids d'hydroxyde d'aluminium par rapport à la masse totale de l'aggloméré et d'environ un maximum de 1 % en poids de lubrifiant de démoulage, ledit mélange prenant la forme d'une masse cohésive qui résiste à l'imbibition à coeur, qui a une masse volumique comprise entre 1,10 et 1,60 g/cc, un rapport surface spécifique-poids d'environ 1:1.05 à 1:1.25 et une résistance à la rupture par compression d'environ 9 à 109 kg.
