ABSTRACT A portable, collapsible lavatory transfer device to assist handicapped persons to use standard washroom facilities is described. A collapsible vertical frame is provided with a jib means at the top thereof from which a hook, strap or other desired aid may be suspended. Base members are pivotally mounted on the frame at the bottom so as to extend on each side of a toilet bowl and provide a steady base for the frame. Suction cups are provided on the frame to secure to a toilet tank or to the wall behind the toilet, and on the base members to secure to each side of the toilet bowl.
