Imitation bricks (10) made of molded plastic are linked by hinged connectors (48) to form edging strips for flower beds, lawns or garden paths. Compressible rectangular washers (11) between the bricks simulate mortar joints. Anchoring prongs (32) with barded tips are used to implant the blocks into the soil. A 3 plate (60) snaps into the connecting hole of the last brick in a series. A string of lights (40) can be run through a string of bricks to illuminate all or some of them.
