An air pervious disposable liner for use with a lawn mower is described. The liner is inserted into the grass catching receptacle of the lawn mower such that grass clippings generated by the lawn mower flow into the grass catching receptacle and fill the liner. As a result of this arrangement, debris discharged by the lawn mower, such as stones or rocks, that would pierce the liner alone are retained by the grass catcher receptacle and therefore will not injure the user. Once the liner is full, the grass catching receptacle is disconnected from the lawn mower and the liner is removed from the grass catching receptacle and discarded.
