ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A lawn mower comprising a housing, a prime mover supported by the housing, a drive shaft driven by the prime mover, a cutter blade, a clutch driven by the drive shaft and engagable and disengagable with the cutter blade, a handle connected to the housing, a control movably attached to the handle and operable to permit the engagement and disengagement of the clutch by the movement of the control, which control includes a notch near the attachment of the control to the handle, and a lock lever for preventing inadvertent movement of the control and comprising a V-shaped lever including an apex portion pivotally attached to the handle adjacent the notch for pivotal movement between a position wherein the lever is received in the notch and prevents the pivotal movement of the control, and a position wherein the lever is out of the notch and permits the pivotal movement of the control.
