Abstract of the Disclosure The invention relates to a lawn mower knife as- sembly including a rigid bar, plate or disc attached to a motor-driven generally vertical shaft and provided, at a distance from the shaft attachment, with at least two attachment points for knife means, and at least two knife means, each including a blade section provided with a cutting edge and a shank section adapted for the fixation of the knife means to the bar, plate or sheet. The new feature is that each of the attachment points comprises a flat surface section in which there is made a through-hole for a screw or the like and a recess arranged beyond the hole, and that the shank sec- tion of each knife means includes a flat surface section with a through-hole and a projection provided adjacent said surface section and extending away from the plane of the surface section, while the surface sections of the attachment points and the shank section are adap- ted, when in mounted condition, to lie in contact with each other with the holes aligned, and the projection is adapted for accommodation in the recess in order to constitute a rotary latch which is yieldable to pre-de- termined strain.
