A high temperature gasket assembly comprises a plurality of identical symmetrically shaped plates with holes offset from a centerline of each plate. The plates are rotated or flipped into an orientation with the outer periphery of each plate in alignment and the holes in a first plate are skewed with respect to mating holes in a second plate. As a result, a portion of an inner periphery of each hole is in facing relation with an inner face of the other plate. The resulting aperture defines an interference orientation with a diameter greater than a minor thread diameter and less than a major thread diameter of a mating fastener. Thus, the fastener is retained within the aperture without undesirable separation.
La présente invention a pour objet un ensemble de joint d'étanchéité haute température constitué d'une pluralité de plaques symétriques de forme identique percées de trous décalés par rapport à une ligne passant par le centre de chacune des plaques en question. Les plaques sont collectivement orientées par rapport à leur périphérie individuelle et leurs trous sont alignés de biais. Cette configuration a pour effet d'aligner les trous de telle sorte que le bord intérieur de chacun des trous se trouve en alignement avec le bord intérieur de la plaque adjacente. Le diamètre de l'ouverture résultant de cette configuration définit une interférence dont le diamètre est plus grand que le diamètre mineur fileté et plus petit que le diamètre majeur fileté d'un élément de fixation. L'élément de fixation se trouve donc retenu à l'intérieur de l'ouverture sans indésirable effet de séparation.
