Layer systems in accordance with the prior art are inefficiently cooled with respect to an external hot gas. The layer system (1) formed in accordance with the invention has an outer porous layer (10), the pore walls (22) of the pores (25) having a varying thickness of the pore walls (22). It is in this way possible to improve the cooling with protection against excessive introduction of heat for the layer system (1).
