ABREGE DESCRIPTIF La divulgation décrit un procédé de lixiviation d'un minerai de niobium et/ou de tantale contenant du calcium comme impureté principale; le minerai est de préférence du pyrochlore. Pour ce faire, on traite directement et sans traitement préli- minaire le minerai par un mélange d'acide sulfurique et d'acide fluorhydrique, de préférence dilués, de façon à insolubiliser le calcium sous forme de sulfate de calcium et à solubiliser le niobium et/ou le tantale sous forme d'oxyfluorure et empêcher empêcher ainsi la formation de quantités appréciables de fluorure de calcium.
