This invention relates to an electrode plate of a lead acid battery. The electrode plate comprises of a grid of non-conductive, thermally non-expansive material having a matrix of grid openings, a frame of lead alloy having a matrix of tubes that are insertable in the grid openings of the thermally non-expansive material, and an active material that is inserted into the tubes of the lead alloy frame. The preferable material for the grid of thermally non-expansive material is ceramic. The invention also provides for a double-face plate which has a pair of grids of non-conductive thermally non-expansive material enclosing a pair of lead alloy frames with the active material in the tubes of the lead alloy frame.
Cette invention concerne une plaque électrode d'accumulateur au plomb qui se compose d'une grille en matériau non conducteur caractérisé par une excellente inertie thermique et comportant une série d'alvéoles, d'un cadre en alliage de plomb portant une série de tubes qui s'insèrent dans les alvéoles de la grille susmentionnée et d'un matériau actif placé dans les tubes dudit cadre en alliage de plomb. Le matériau à inertie thermique privilégié est la céramique. L'invention englobe également les plaques double face formées d'une paire de grilles en matériau non conducteur à inertie thermique prévoit recouvrant une paire de cadres en alliage de plomb dont les tubes sont remplis de matériau actif.
