A bullet that will retain markings from a firearm barrel when fired from such firearm. The bullet comprises a right cylindrical core with opposed ends, one such opposed end having a tapered section integrally connected thereto. The core is formed from a lead-free composition of a polymer and filler and selectively retains its integrity when fired from the firearm or is frangible. The right cylindrical core has a jacket that is cylindrical and formed from a thermoplastic polymer or copper. The thermoplastic polymer has a softening point above firearm barrel temperatures.
Cette invention concerne une balle qui peut conserver des marques du canon de l'arme à feu dont elle a été tirée. Cette balle comporte un noyau en cylindre droit de révolution à extrémités opposées, une de ces extrémités ayant une forme conique. Ledit noyau, qui est constitué d'une composition sans plomb d'un polymère et d'une charge, conserve sélectivement son intégrité lorsque la balle est tirée ou bien il se désintègre. Ledit noyau en cylindre droit comporte un chemisage qui est cylindrique et est constitué d'un polymère thermoplastique ou de cuivre. Ledit matériau polymère a un point de ramollissement dont la valeur est supérieure aux valeurs de températures du canon de l'arme à feu.
