A B S T R A C T Patent of invention: "SHARPENER PRESS-BUTTON". The present invention relates to a lead sharpener press-button, for propelling pencils, especially for propelling pencils whose lead-holding tube carries a single lead. In accordance with the invention, the press-button is characterized by the fact that the tubular body (6) is provided on its lateral surface with at least one opening (7); that a blade element (12) is provided mountable in said tubular body (6), serving simultaneously as a guide and sharpener for the lead (3); and that the tubular body (6) has a coaxial extension (10) which can be inserted or screwed into the lead-holding tube (2) of the propelling pencil.
