A leaf collection apparatus includes a vacuum generating apparatus for collecting leaves. An enclosure for holding leaves is connected to the vacuum generating apparatus. The enclosure includes a screened opening. A dust shroud is connected to the enclosure and covers the screened opening. A recirculating means connects the dust shroud to the vacuum generating apparatus. Leaf dust is removed from the dust shroud and recirculated to the vacuum generating apparatus. The preferred enclosure is a leaf collection box including a screenedopening in the top wall and a screened opening in the rear wall. Preferably the vacuum generating apparatus including a fan inside a housing.
