The leaf picking implement includes a flexible sheet and a pair of first and second rigid scoop members to be mounted to corresponding opposite edge portions of the flexible sheet. The cross-sectionally J-shape scoop members are engaged in friction fit fashion by the above-noted two opposite flexible sheet edge portions, whereby each scoop member defines a straight leading edge, in general register with the sheet interior face, and a trailing edge portion, opposite the corresponding leading edge and in general register with the sheet exterior face. The scoop leading edges are for transverse scraping engagement with the ground. A pair of first and second handle members are provided, integral to corresponding scoop trailing edge portions and sized for engagement by the person's corresponding hands. The scoop leading edges promote capture of ground-scattered debris and collection thereof within the inner volume formed by the folded sheet, under wedge action when the scoop leading edges are manually brought against one another, while the person's hands engaged into the handle members remain constantly spaced from ground level by the scoops which engage ground transversely, wherein the debris remains out of reach of the person's hands at all times.
