A transgenic plant transformed by a Lectin-like Protein Kinase Stress-Related Polypeptide (LPKSRP) coding nucleic acid, wherein expression of the nucleic acid sequence in the plant results in increased plant growth and/or increased tolerance to an environmental stress as compared to a wild type variety of the plant. Also provided are agricultural products, including seeds, produced by the transgenic plants. Also provided are isolated LPKSRPs, and isolated nucleic acid coding LPKSRPs, and vectors and host cells containing the latter.
L'invention porte sur une plante transgénique transformée par un acide nucléique codant pour le polypeptide lié au stress du type lectine d'une protéine kinase (LPKSPR). L'expression de la séquence d'acide nucléique dans la plante produit une croissance accrue et/ou une tolérance accrue aux contraintes environnementales par rapport aux variétés de plantes de type sauvage. L'invention porte également sur des produits agricoles, dont des graines, produits par les plantes transgéniques, et sur des LPKSRPs isolés, sur un acide nucléique isolé codant pour les LPKSRPs, et sur des vecteurs et cellules hôtes contenant ce dernier.
