An LED light apparatus and methodology that can produce a collinear beam of light. The apparatus has a housing with three sets of LED light assemblies each having several LED lights of the same color, being red, blue or green. A dichroic bandpass filter and a dichroic notch filter are incorporated along with a power supply. In one embodiment both filters intersect forming an x- pattern. Red light passes through both filters. The resulting light from the band pass filter combines with blue light and passes through the notch filter. This combined light stream then combines with green light to form a collinear beam of white or colored light. The resulting light from the red light passing through the notch filter combines with green light and passes through the bandpass filter. This combined light stream then combines with the blue light to form a collinear beam of white or colored light.

L'invention porte sur un appareil d'éclairage DEL et sur un procédé associé permettant de fabriquer un faisceau colinéaire de lumière. Cet appareil est doté d'un logement comprenant trois ensembles d'éclairages DEL, chacun étant pourvu de plusieurs éclairages DEL de la même couleur, à savoir rouge, bleu ou vert. Elle se rapporte aussi à un filtre passe-bande dichroïque et un filtre coupe-bande dichroïque, ainsi qu'à une alimentation en courant. Dans un mode de réalisation, les deux filtres se croisent pour former un schéma en forme de X. De la lumière rouge traverse les deux filtres. La lumière obtenue issue du filtre passe-bande se combine avec la lumière bleue et traverse le filtre coupe-bande. Ce flux de lumière combinée se combine ensuite avec de la lumière verte afin de former un faisceau colinéaire de lumière blanche ou colorée. La lumière obtenue de la lumière rouge qui traverse le filtre coupe-bande se combine avec la lumière verte et traverse le filtre passe-bande. Ce flux de lumière combinée se combine ensuite avec la lumière bleue afin de former un faisceau colinéaire de lumière blanche ou colorée.
