A power supply system for supplying a set of light-emitting diodes comprises a full-wave rectifier circuit, an inductor device, a power factor controller circuit, and a capacitor circuit. The full-wave rectifier circuit converts the sinusoidal voltage and current from an ac source to full-wave rectified voltage and current, respectively. The inductor device includes a magnetic core, a first coil wound on the magnetic core and supplied with the rectified voltage from the full-wave rectifier circuit, and a second coil also wound on the magnetic core. The power factor controller circuit draws from the full-wave rectifier circuit and through the first coil a rectified current which (a) is substantially in phase with the rectified voltage from the full-wave rectifier circuit and (b) has a magnitude proportional to the amplitude of this full-wave rectified voltage. Finally, the capacitor circuit is interposed between the second coil and the set of light-emitting diodes for converting the rectified voltage and current induced in the second coil to dc voltage and current supplied to the set of light-emitting diodes.

Système d'alimentation servant à alimenter une série de diodes lumineuses. Le système comprend un circuit redresseur double alternance, un dispositif d'inductance, un circuit contrôleur du facteur de puissance et un circuit condensateur. Le circuit redresseur double alternance transforme la tension et le courant à variation sinusoïdale d'une source alternative en une tension et un courant résultant du redressement double alternance, respectivement.
