LEG GRIPPING SKI BINDING Abstract of the disclosure A ski binding comprising a portion for gripping the skier's leg, a base rigidly connected to the ski and a rigid elongated element for mechanically connecting the leg gripping portion to the base. The elongated element is pivotally connected to the base for rotation about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the ski and parallel to the plane of the ski. At the forward portion of the base there is provided a plate-like element having a shaped upper surface for matingly engaging with the sole of the skier's footwear, while a further element connected to the base element removably embraces the metatarsus of the skier's foot and removably maintains the foot in contact with the ski.
