ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A pant leg protector for covering the lower part of a pant leg is made from a cylinder of water resistant material which is adapted to surround and cover the lower part of the pant leg. Buttons are provided on the inner surface of the cylinder adjacent its top edge and are adapted to detachably be secured to the pant leg which is itself provided with corresponding button holes. Instead of buttons and button holes, other fastening means may be used which comprises two component parts one for the protector and one for the pant leg or other item of clothing.
