The invention relates to modified leporipoxviruses expressing a chimeric envelope protein resulting from the fusion of an envelope protein of mature intracellular virions or of an envelope protein of enveloped extracellular virions, with an exogenous protein. These modified leporipoxviruses can be used in particular for obtaining vaccines.
