The present disclosure provides compositions containing a leptin product and methods of clinical therapy and diagnostic methods for progressive cognitive disorders. According to one aspect, the described invention provides a method for treating a progressive cognitive disorder. According to another aspect, the described invention provides a method for improving resilience of cognitive function in a subject in need thereof. According to another aspect, the described invention provides a method for identifying an effective therapeutic agent for treating a progressive cognitive dysfunction disease or disorder that results from at least one of accumulation of A.beta., hyperphosphorylation of tau, or accumulation of neurofibrillary tangles.
Cette invention concerne des compositions contenant un produit leptinique ainsi que des méthodes de thérapie clinique et de diagnostic de troubles évolutifs de la fonction cognitive. Selon un aspect, linvention porte sur une méthode de traitement dun trouble de la fonction cognitive. Selon un autre aspect, linvention concerne une méthode propre à améliorer la résilience de la fonction cognitive chez un sujet qui en a besoin. Selon un autre aspect encore, linvention concerne un procédé permettant didentifier un agent thérapeutique efficace dans le traitement dune maladie ou dun trouble entraînant un dysfonctionnement cognitif débouchant au moins soit sur une accumulation dAß, soit sur une hyperphosphorylation de tau, ou bien sur une accumulation denchevêtrements neurofibrillaires.
