Lettering plate which is to be attached to the outside of the lattice jacket of the pallet container has lower support edge which is flanged or beveled to the outside, which abuts horizontal lattice rod and which reaches behind it, and two side edges which are flanged to the outside for resting on two vertical lattice rods, in center section of two side edges there being openings to hold horizontal lattice rod. Lettering plate furthermore has upper edge which is made as a clawed edge and which in the mounted state of lettering plate fits behind horizontal lattice rod with elastic bracing of plate against horizontal lattice rod which in middle plate section abuts its bottom, lower and upper edge having, depending on the size of lettering plate and the grid division of the lattice jacket, one or more openings for holding one or more vertical lattice rods. Lettering plate can be equipped with a seal of originality.
