The present invention is a control for a motion mechanism for furniture generally comprising a bezel and a handle that is rotatably secured within the bezel from a resting position in the bezel to an open position fully extended out of the bezel. The handle has an arm that has a recessed groove throughout its length. An actuator having two ends is coupled at one end to the handle and at the other end connected to the motion mechanism. When the handle is rotated out of the bezel, the actuator travels within the recessed groove to actuate the motion mechanism.
