A levitated finned ball device includes a ball (2) made of a lightweight material and a base (3) that generates laminar air flow to levitate the ball in mid-air. The ball (2) has at least one generally semi-circular shaped fin (15) extending therefrom. When the laminar air flow strikes the fin (15), it imparts motion to the ball (2).
