A lidded container comprising a container body with side walls, a bottom, and a top end with an opening comprising means to retain a lid, and an upstanding edge around the opening having its outer sides in line with the side walls of the container. The upstanding edge is provided with at least one recess, which preferably inclines over the width of the upstanding edge from the opening downwardly to the edge's outer sides.

L~invention concerne un récipient doté d~un couvercle comprenant un corps de récipient muni de parois latérales, d~un fond et d~une extrémité supérieure avec une ouverture comprenant un moyen de retenue du couvercle, et un rebord relevé autour de l~ouverture, les côtés externes du rebord étant alignés avec les parois latérales du récipient. Le rebord relevé est doté d~au moins un évidement, qui, de préférence, est incliné sur toute la largeur du bord relevé selon une pente descendant de l~ouverture jusqu~aux côtés externes du rebord.
