The invention is a handle and strap assembly which is connected together at either end by two hooks, one at each end. The purpose of this device is to assist the infirmed large sized dog to stand and walk. This is accomplished by sliding one end of this strap under the dogs stomach just in front of the hind leg, until the strap goes across the belly and comes out just in front of the other hind leg. With the small, ends of the hooks thru the outermost holes in the handle, one at either end of the handle, connecting the hooks to the handle. Slide one bottom end of hook thru the end hole on the strap. The other bottom end of the hook thru the end hole at the other end of the strap. Thus forming a loop around the infirmed dog. With the strap cradling the girth and the handle over the backside. With the handle and strap scoured by the hooks, lift from the handle assisting the dog to its feet. When more strength is needed, the handle is long enough to accomodate two hands. This method may be used whether the dog is in standing or lying positions. Furthermore, when the dog requires assistance at the front end, the same procedure is followed.The strap would be slid across the ribcage just behind the front leg, coming out the other side just behind the other front leg. Attatch the bottom end of the hook to the strap by sliding the hook thru the hole closest to the end of the strap. Repeat this procedure at the other end of the strap. Using the top end of the hook,sliding the hook thru the outermost hole of the handle. Repeat this procedure at the other end of the handle.Once the handle and strap are secured by the hooks, lift from the handle, just above the shoulder blades, to assist the infirmed dog to stand. When going forward, lifting from the handle, use as much strength as necessary to support some of the infirmed dogs weight.
