A lift cord receiving device includes a fixed tube having a through hole through which the lift cord of the Venetian blind passes, a sliding tube axially slidably coupled to the fixed tube, the sliding tube defining with the fixed tube a receiving space and having a through hole through which the lift cord of the Venetian blind passes, and a traction mechanism installed in the fixed tube and defining a traction guide opening through which a part of the lift cord of the Venetian blind can be pulled out the traction mechanism having a traction block fastened to the part of the lift cord being pulled through the traction guide opening for enabling the lift cord of the Venetian blind to be received inside the receiving space when moving the sliding tube toward the fixed tube.
