ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A lifting platform which is supported from a base by a pair of X-linkages which are of the kind in which the foot of a first arm of the X is pivoted to the base, the foot of the second arm of the X slides on the base and the head of the second arm is pivoted to the platform. The invention is characterized by the head of the first arm being connected through a swinging link to the platform so the platform moves parallel to itself while being lifted. - 1 -
