A lift device of platform type for miscellaneous loads, in particular for motor vehicles, comprising a pair of vertical uprights (2) to rest on the floor, a load carrying platform (4) slidable along said uprights (2), a drive system for said platform comprising actuators associated with the two uprights (2), and a torsion bar (6) applied to said platform to ensure that this latter is also horizontal when an unbalanced load is present, characterised in that at least one sprocket wheel (14) is applied to said torsion bar (6) and cooperates with a stop pawl (16) elastically engaging the teeth of said sprocket wheel (14) and disengageable from it during the descent phase of said platform (4).

L'invention concerne un dispositif de levage du type plate-forme pour des charges diverses, en particulier pour des véhicules à moteur, comportant une paire de montants verticaux (2) permettant de reposer sur le plancher, une plate-forme porteuse de charge (4) pouvant coulisser le long desdits montants (2), un système d'entraînement pour ladite plate-forme comportant des vérins associés aux deux montants (2), et une barre de torsion (6) appliquée sur ladite plate-forme pour faire en sorte que cette dernière soit aussi horizontale en présence d'une charge non équilibrée, caractérisé en ce qu'au moins une roue dentée (14) est appliquée sur ladite barre de torsion (6) et coopère avec un cliquet d~arrêt (16) engrenant de manière élastique les dents de ladite roue dentée (14) et capable de s'en dégager au cours de la phase de descente de ladite plate-forme (4).
