Ligand synthesis methods for the preparation of ligands having the formula (See formula I) wherein Q is selected from phosphorus, arsenic and antimony; wherein X1, X2 and X3 are carbon anions; and, wherein R15 is selected from -SO3, -SO2N(R18), -CO2, - PO3, -AsO3, -SiO2, -C(CF3)2O; where R18 is selected from a hydrogen, a halogen, a hydrocarbyl group and a substituted hydrocarbyl group, are disclosed. Also disclosed are methods of complexing the ligands with late transition metals to form catalyst complexes that catalyze polymerization reactions and/or Heck coupling reactions.

La présente invention concerne des méthodes de synthèse de ligands pour la préparation desdits ligands avec la formule (voir la formule ) où Q est choisi à partir du phosphore, de l'arsenic et de l'antimoine; où X1, X2 et X3 sont des anions de carbone, et où R15 est choisi à partir de -SO3, -SO2N(R18), -CO2, -PO3, -AsO3, -SiO2, -C(CF3)2O; où R18 est choisi à partir d'un groupe d'hydrogène, d'un groupe d'halogène, d'un groupe d'hydrocarbyl, ainsi que groupe d'hydrocarbyl de substitution. L'invention concerne également des méthodes de formation de complexants de ligands avec des métaux de transition tardifs pour former des complexes de catalyseurs pour des réactions de polymérisation et/ou des réactions de couplage de Heck.
