A light (1) has at least one housing part (2) and a translucent cover (4) which is connected pressure-tight to said housing part (2) by means of a screw-on ring (3). A flame-extinguishing gap (5) is formed between the housing part (2) and the cover (4). In order to form an appropriate flame-extinguishing gap (5) in a simple, structural manner and, at the same time, to simplify the assembly of the light (1) without negatively affecting recyclability, the flame-extinguishing gap (5) is formed directly with a surface, particularly the outer surface of the cover (4), and a surface, particularly the inner surface of the housing part (2), and the screw-on ring (3) covers the flame-extinguishing gap (5) at an end (9) of the gap pointing to the outer side(8) of the light (1).

L'invention concerne un luminaire (1) présentant au moins un élément de boîtier (2) et un couvercle translucide (4) relié de manière résistante à la pression au boîtier à l'aide d'une bague à visser (3). Entre l'élément de boîtier (2) et le couvercle (4), une fente d'extinction de flammes (5) est formée. Afin de réaliser une fente d'extinction de flammes (5) correspondante de manière simple sur le plan structurel et avec une simplification simultanée de l'assemblage du luminaire (1) sans influencer négativement la capacité de recyclage, la fente d'extinction de flammes (5) est directement formée avec une surface, en particulier une surface extérieure du couvercle (/4), et avec une surface, en particulier une surface intérieure de l'élément de boîtier (2), et la bague à visser (3) recouvre la fente d'extinction de flammes (5) sur son extrémité de fente (9) orientée vers le côté extérieur (8) du luminaire (1).
