A light bar (100) for mounting on an emergency vehicle to provide warning light signals. An elongate body portion (102) has an elongate axis (104), the elongate body portion adapted to be mounted on the emergency vehicle so that the elongate axis (104) traverses an axis (106) coaxial with the direction of the travel of the emergency vehicle. At least three vertically spaced lighting layers (118, 122, 130) are provided, each layer having at least one emrgency light source, the emergency light sources on each layer cooperating to provide a transient high intensity warning light signal 360 degrees around the light bar (100). At least four linear rows (142, 144, 146, 148) of emergency light sources as viewed from the top of the light bar are also provided, the rows being substantially parallel to the elongate axis (104), each row having at least two emergency light sources, at least one row located in each of the layers (118, 122, 130) and at least one layer having at least two rows.
L'invention concerne une barre (100) lumineuse de signalisation se montant sur un véhicule prioritaire pour produire des signaux lumineux d'avertissement. Une partie (102) de corps allongée comporte un axe (104) allongé, la partie de corps allongée étant conçue pour être montée sur le véhicule prioritaire de sorte que l'axe (104) allongé coupe un axe (106) coaxial par rapport au sens de déplacement du véhicule prioritaire. Au moins trois couches (118, 122, 130) de feux espacés verticalement sont prévues, chaque couche comportant au moins une source de feux d'urgence, les sources de feux d'urgence de chaque couche coopérant de manière à produire un signal lumineux d'avertissement de haute intensité transitoire à 360· autour de la barre (100) lumineuse de signalisation. Au moins quatre rangées (142, 144, 146, 148) linéaires de sources de feux d'urgence, vues du dessus de la barre lumineuse de signalisation, sont également prévues, les rangées étant sensiblement parallèles à l'axe (104) allongé, chaque rangée comportant au moins deux sources de feux d'urgence, au moins une rangée étant située dans chacune des couches (118, 122, 130), et au moins une couche comportant au moins deux rangées.
