LIGHT-COLORED HYDROCARBON AND TERPENE RESINS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Resins prepared by cationic polymerization of pure or combined feeds of C5-C10 hydrocarbons are de- colorized by use of iodine or bromine or their compounds. Activation by heat or radiation is usual. The decolor- izing agents may be added prior to or during the poly- merization process or to the polymerized resin before or after isolation.
