ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A liquid detergent system wherein the active content is a combination of an anionic surfactant and a nonionic surfactant in the form of alkoxylated partial glycerol esters of a higher, detergent grade fatty acid and optionally containing a foam stabilizing agent. These systems are particularly useful for formulating shampoos and light duty liquid household cleaning compositions having low eye and skin irritation properties. - 1 -
