An optical film is provided which comprises an antireflective layer and a disperse phase of polymeric particles disposed within a continuous birefringent matrix. The film is oriented, typically by stretching, in one or more directions. The size and shape of the disperse phase particles, the volume fraction of the disperse phase, the film thickness, and the amount of orientation are chosen to attain a desired degree of diffuse reflection and total transmission of electromagnetic radiation of a desired wavelength in the resulting film.
L'invention concerne un film optique qui comprend une couche antireflet et une phase dispersée de particules polymères disposées à l'intérieur d'une matrice biréfringente continue. Le film est orienté, typiquement par étirement, dans une ou plusieurs directions. La taille et la forme des particules de la phase dispersée, la fraction de volume de celle-ci, l'épaisseur du film et l'orientation sont choisies de façon à obtenir un degré désiré de réflexion diffuse et une transmission totale du rayonnement électromagnétique d'une longueur d'onde désirée dans le film obtenu.
