In one aspect, an optionally re- sponsive film that includes liquid crys- tal dispersed in a polymer matrix that is the reaction product of, (a) 5-60 % by weight of one or more allyl reactants; (b) 15-95 % by weight or one or more ene reactants other than an allyl; and (c) 0-20 % by weight of one or more thiol reactants. In a second aspect, the film is the reaction product of: (a) 5-50 % by weight of one or more allyl reactants; and (b) 2-25 % by weight of one or more methacrylate reactants.

Selon un aspect de cette invention on décrit un film réagissant à la lumière formé de cristal liquide dispersé dans une matrice polymère qui est le produit de réaction de: (a) 5 à 60 % en poids d'un ou de plusieurs réactants allyle; (b) 15 à 95 % en poids d'un ou de plusieurs réactants ene autre(s) qu'un réactant allyle; et (c) de 0 à 20 % en poids d'un ou de plusieurs réactants thiol. Selon un deuxième aspect, le film est le produit de réaction de: (a) 5 à 50 % en poids d'un ou de plusieurs réactants allyle; et (b) de 2 à 25 % en poids d'un ou de plusieurs réactants méthacrylate.
