ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A light-sensitive composition in the form of a dispersion in a hydrophilic continuous phase of a combination of an N-vinyl compound, a halogenated hydrocarbon and, as a shelf life extending additive, a phenol derivative having the formula Image where R1 and R2 each represents hydrogen or C1 to C4 alkyl, and R3 is hydrogen, hydroxyl group, C1 to C4 alkyl or C1 to C4 alkoxy, with the proviso that R1 and/or R2 are alkyl except when R3 is alkoxy. The amount of the additive is in the range from 0.001 to 0.1 wt % of the N-vinyl compound.
