GV1406 ABSTRACT A light-tight film reel which is positionable on a spindle having a driving connection for rotating said reel, comprising a cylindrical core which includes a central opening in the core for locating the reel on the spindle, cavities extending from one end into the core and terminating near the other end of the core, and two axially spaced slots in the core wall that communicate with one of the cavities near opposite angular ends thereof.
