ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A light-weight container system is disclosed for the storage and transportation of bulk materials on a vehicle such as a pickup truck. The system includes a transport subframe removably mounted on the vehicle, and a storage subframe supported by legs. The transport and storage subframes include rollers which allow a container to be easily transferred from the transport subframe to the storage subframe, and visa versa. The legs of the storage subframe can be adjustable so that the height and level of the storage subframe can be adjusted to facilitate easy transfer of the container, without first emptying the container. Locking pins are used to prevent undesired movement of the container, on the rollers, during transportation or storage of the container. Finally, the transport subframe can include a fulcrum assembly which facilitates pivoting or dumping motion of the container.
