ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A lighted sign device includes a light source and at least two transparent panels in face-to-face relation. A face of each panel bears indicia and each panel has one of its edges facing the light source, so that these edges of the transparent panels are simultaneously illuminated by the light source. The edge of one of the panels is coloured and the edge of the other panel is colourless or of a different colour to that of the edge of the first panel. The panels are illuminated simultaneously by light passing through the edges thereof.
