A lighted writing support may include an apparatus having a portable writing surface (16), a light assembly (12) linked to the apparatus, and a switch (32) for directing electrical power with the light assembly. The portable writing surface may comprise a handheld writing surface. The light assembly comprises a light source (34, 36) adapted to selectively emit when powered a first spectrum of light or a second spectrum of light different in a visible portion of the sprectra from the first spectrum. A housing partially surrounding the light source may direct emitted light over the writing surface. The light source may comprise a first-type (36) of light emitting diode (LED) to emit a first color of light and a second-type (34) LED to emit a second color of light. The first color may comprise light approximately red in appearance and the second color may comprise light approximately white in appearance. The light assembly may include a clamping surface (46) biased against the writing surface to retain papers, documents, etc.
L'invention concerne un support d'écriture éclairé comprenant un appareil doté d'une surface d'écriture (16) portable, un ensemble d'éclairage (12) relié à l'appareil et un commutateur (32) pour régler le courant électrique avec l'ensemble d'éclairage. La surface d'écriture portable comporte une surface d'écriture de poche. L'ensemble d'éclairage est constitué d'une source lumineuse (34, 36) conçue pour, lorsqu'elle est en marche, émettre sélectivement un premier spectre lumineux ou un second spectre lumineux différent dans une portion visible de la plage du premier spectre. Un boîtier entourant partiellement la source lumineuse dirige la lumière émise sur la surface d'écriture. La source lumineuse est dotée d'un premier type (36) de diode électroluminescente (DEL) émettant une première couleur de lumière, et d'un second type (34) de DEL émettant une seconde couleur de lumière. La première couleur comprend une lumière presque rouge en apparence et la seconde une lumière presque blanche en apparence. L'ensemble d'éclairage présente une surface de pincement (46) sollicitée contre la surface d'écriture pour retenir les papiers, documents, etc.
