An apparatus is disclosed for providing more uniform lighter spark wheel actuation. Uniform actuation is facilitated in the apparatus according to the invention by reducing the resistance encountered from the rotation of the flint (40) on its axis due to the screw thread-like action of the cutting member (10) on the flint. In an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a non- rotatable pyrophoric flint (40) is utilized which illustratively includes a body having a non-circular cross section.
Cette invention concerne un appareil qui permet d'obtenir un actionnement plus uniforme de la molette d'un briquet. Cet appareil permet de rendre l'actionnement plus uniforme en réduisant la résistance induite par la rotation de la pierre (40) sur son axe, cette rotation étant due à l'action de type vis contre pas de l'élément de coupe (40) sur la pierre. A titre d'exemple, on utilise dans un mode de réalisation une pierre pyrophore non rotative (40) dont le corps possède une section transversale qui n'est pas circulaire.
